We Understand You Think It's Bad by Motorbikes - 4 songs recorded in Dept. of Safety living quarters into Nich's built-in laptop microphone for the novelty and convenience - suprisingly legitimate result. Used Garageband's Phaser filter, parlor guitar, and paint-brush-percussion. "Four eager songs hinting at things to come" - songs about "just doing it" and keeping a loose grip for your own good. Housed in machine-sewn card-stock - $8.

Fontee Fount presents Motorbikes and Saint Merman - Tan shirt hand dipped in dye and screenprinted at the Department of Safety - $15.

The Skateboard - $49.

GHOST MOUTH OF THE CLOUDS by THE KICKER KNOT - Our friend Brian Wolf from Fayetteville, AR. "Ghost Mouth of the Clouds" was almost completely recorded by him alone – with just a little help from his brother and a friend for the horns on "Eisenhower Highway", and a big group of friends for the choral vocals on "Iron Helps Us Play". Noise and Jangles. - $12.

RAPPS BARON II - "Rapps Baron" is an all analog recording project in which (a large number of) friends and strangers get together and sing and stomp and play drums and every other available instrument. Much planning involved. "Noise orchestras." Approximately 30 minutes - $7.

New Color by Motorbikes - The first full length release from Motorbikes recorded mainly in the Dept. of Safety's brand new black and white recording studio. The 37 min. album is not an attempt to achieve "New Color;" The first track is a statement of how that is not possible in any sense. The rest of the album varies, in topic, from self-misrepresentation to the significance of two tempos that wave in and out of sync. The music maintains the sound of a very good mood, influenced by dated African music such as Charles A. Chepkwony ("Shapely Iceberg"), and Douda Dembele (the "polyrythmic" clicks and kicks at the beginning of "Things I Sing"). Some other influences: Karl Blau, his really big box of African Tapes, Jel, Nas (Illmatic), some Paw Tracks, and Saint Merman & The Zombie Gondaliers. There is a lot of drumming. Some Hip Hop inspired. - $10.

Bleu by Motorbikes - Six song EP recorded in early 2007 - $5.00
